'John Lennon' painting wins Art on the Street
The winner of the Best in Show award at the Art on the Street painting contest in downtown Grand Haven on Saturday was Alexandra Perrier.
Her work was titled "Peace Please, John Lennon."
Second place went to Natalie Carmolli. Anna Dexter took third place in the contest, with the public voting for their favorites from Saturday night through late Monday.
The paintings are displayed on the fence surrounding the downtown reconstruction project on Washington Avenue, between Harbor Drive and First Street. Winners received gift baskets.
The contest was sponsored by the Grand Haven Main Street Downtown Development Authority.
